Umbria Coffee Roasters is a full-service, wholesale coffee roaster based in Pacific Northwest. But the family's roots in roasting go back to the 1940's, when Ornello Bizzarri built his roastery in Perugia, Italy. The Arco Etrusco in our logo is a landmark of the Umbrian city.
Roaster Emanuele Bizzarri has always had coffee in his blood -- from his grandfather Ornello to his father Umberto. When his family moved to North America from Italy, he became the third generation in a family of roasters, and he's since carried that tradition on through Umbria Coffee Roasters.
At Caffè Umbria, we seek out high-quality coffees that meet the distinct, consistent and balanced characteristics of our flavor profiles. Through direct relationships, we are committed to working with farmers of cooperatives who reinvest in infrastructure and raise the living standards of their communities. We source Arabica coffees from multiple growing regions around the world with a focus on African, Central and South American beans.
The recipes for exceptional blends are the signature of the master roaster. The Bizzarri family tradition dates back three generations combining time honored techniques and modern technology. The artisan roaster must have a keen knowledge of individual varietals and a deft touch at combining them. The result is a balanced and consistent product that our clients can rely on to please and delight their customers.
Every Caffè Umbria coffee is carefully crafted in our state-of-the-art roasting facilities. From light to dark roast, we value precision and care in every batch. Through the collaborative effort of our artisan roasters and production team, we roast and ship daily.
